Off the
Record

Veilnet turns the wallet you already use into a private one. Shield, send and withdraw with nothing readable on the public ledger.

Non-custodial by design. Funds sit in audited RAILGUN contracts and only keys generated in your browser can move them.

Shielded on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon and BNB Chain. Transfers between private accounts reveal no sender, receiver or amount.

Connect a wallet, create your private account and shield your first tokens in a few minutes.

Shielding is public: the deposit is visible. Everything that happens after it is not.

Privacy is on.
[ 07 ] — PROTOCOL

Private in three steps.

01

Connect your wallet

MetaMask, Rabby, a hardware wallet — anything that speaks the standard browser wallet interface.

02

Create a private account

Veilnet generates a private 0zk account in your browser, encrypted with your password. Back up its recovery phrase.

03

Shield, send, withdraw

Move tokens into the pool, pay other 0zk accounts privately, and withdraw to any fresh address.

[ 08 ] — ANATOMY

Privacy that stops feeling like a trade-off.

No custody, no accounts, no servers holding your keys. Veilnet is an interface — the privacy comes from open, audited cryptography.

A.01KEYS

Your keys never leave your browser

The private account is generated and encrypted on your device. Veilnet has no backend that could see or move your funds.

A.02AUDITED

Built on RAILGUN

Battle-tested, audited contracts that have secured private funds on mainnet for years.

A.030ZK

Private 0zk addresses

Share a 0zk address to get paid privately. Sender, receiver and amount stay encrypted.

A.04SCREENING

Proof of Innocence

Every deposit is checked against sanctions lists with private proofs before it can be spent.

[ 09 ] — QUERY

Good questions.

Protocol details live in the RAILGUN docs.

Q.01Is Veilnet custodial?

No. Shielded funds are held by the RAILGUN smart contracts. Only your private account — generated and encrypted in your browser — can spend them. Veilnet never sees your keys.

Q.02Which wallets and networks work?

Any browser wallet using the standard EIP-1193 interface (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet extension, hardware wallets through them) on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon and BNB Chain. Sepolia testnet is available for trying it out.

Q.03What does it cost?

The RAILGUN protocol charges 0.25% when you shield and 0.25% when you withdraw, plus normal network gas. Private transfers only cost gas.

Q.04Why is my new balance "pending"?

Fresh deposits go through Private Proof of Innocence screening before they become spendable. This usually takes about an hour.

Q.05What if I lose my password?

Restore your private account with its recovery phrase on any device. Without the phrase, nobody — including us — can recover the funds.

RISKS
  • Veilnet is a non-custodial interface to the RAILGUN protocol. Smart contracts and cryptography can contain undiscovered bugs; only shield what you can afford to lose.
  • Your recovery phrase is the only way to restore your private account. Store it offline.
  • Shielding is a public transaction. Privacy improves with time and with the number of people using the pool.
  • Rules on privacy tools differ by country. You are responsible for using Veilnet lawfully where you live.
